Donating bikes
We are not currently taking donations of bikes. If you’re not in a rush to donate your bikes, check back in a few weeks to see if we are open for donations. For info, we don’t accept bikes with significant damage to the frame or with major components (like wheels!) missing. Chains, pedals, tyres and brake pads we can replace. If it’s out of the river or the strand line, we don’t want it! There’s no limit on the type of bikes we’ll accept; road, hybrid, MTB, fixed wheel, folding, trikes, adults and children’s. You will also need to drop off your donation in Dumfries.
If you are looking to donate immediately, please consider donating to The Depot (previously MOOL) who also run a bike recycling project. You can drop them off at the old Debenhams (now DGMA) on the high street in Dumfries. They are open 10.30 to 4.00pm Monday to Saturday. The DGMA volunteers will carry them upstairs to the bike workshop from there.
