Donating bikes

We take bikes which are still rideable or serviceable. We don’t accept bikes with significant damage to the frame or with major components (like wheels!) missing. Chains, pedals, tyres and brake pads we can replace. If it’s out of the river or the strand line, we don’t want it! The only bikes we don’t take are electric bikes, but we’ll accept; road, hybrid, MTB, fixed wheel, folding, trikes, adults and children’s.

Please get in touch if you think you might have a bike you’d like to donate. Ideally you will be able to drop it off in Dumfries.

If you are looking to donate immediately, please consider donating to other bike recylcing projects such as:

  • The Depot (previously MOOL) who run a bike recycling project. You can drop them off at the old Debenhams (now DGMA) on the high street in Dumfries. They are open 10.30 to 4.00pm  Monday to Saturday. The DGMA volunteers will carry them upstairs to the bike workshop from there.
  • Summerhill Community Centre, normally open from 10.00 till 17.00 Monday to Friday as well as Monday evenings when the bike workshop is going, so bikes can be dropped there at any of those times. Address is: Ballochmyle Terrace Summerhill Dumfries DG2 9EF
